Winthrop Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)3 arts nonprofit created by the founders of Winthrop. Winthrop Arts holds a yearly arts festival every March, hosts regular free community events and runs The Art Factory.
The Mission of Winthrop Arts: Winthrop Arts creates a bridge between the arts and community in tangible and meaningful ways with a focus on developing and inspiring the next generation of artists and patrons. By bringing the arts into central focus, we deepen our roots, enrich our local community, expand our global reach, and strengthen our humanity.
The Art Factory at Winthrop Arts
The Art Factory is a one-of-a-kind art program for school aged children, ages 5 - 18. The Art Factory strives to provide a welcoming, creative environment for children to experience a diverse range of artistic expressions ranging from drawing and painting to ceramics and storytelling. In addition to the classes held Mondays through Friday, Winthrop Arts also holds regular events at the Factory, as well as an Art Factory summer camp every June.
